Scoring

TT events may consist of one or more races. Where an entire event is given TT status, discards will apply as per the standard sailing instructions for that event. A boats final place, after applicable discards, will be taken as their score for that TT. Boats that did not enter the TT, or in the case of the State Championships, boats that are not part of TANSW, but sailed the event, will be excluded from final scoring.

Series scores (for Winter, Summer and overall recombined TT) are the sum of place scores:

  • Winter TT: places achieved by a boat in each eligible TT event, summed together, with no discarded events. Boats that did not compete in an event will be given the score of the maximum number of boats in the TT series + 1.
  • Summer TT: places achieved by a boat in each eligible TT event, summed together. As a new initiative for 2015/16, 1 discard will be provided if 5 events are run.. Boats that did not compete in an event will be given the score of the maximum number of boats in the TT series + 1
  • Combined TT: Places achieved by a boat in the Winter TT overall and the Summer TT overall

Handicap

  • Scratch and handicap scoring is in place for all events.  Handicaps are reset at the annual NSW State Championship
